Hey everyone! My girlfriend, sent out some notes last night to people hoping to get their support and help regarding the contest. Anyone that can spread the word about Sammy and getting our story out there would be awesome! Starting October 26th the voting starts back up again for two weeks!! Considering he got 1500+ votes in only three days, we have so much determination and hopes that he will make it into the top 4. If we do win the $5,000 we'll be able to afford moving out into a pet-friendly apartment in the area so that Sam can live with us. For the past five months, I've wanted nothing else than to have my best friend with me. I hope you can all understand the situation and do what you can to help us. I can't express how thankful I am to have gotten this far and how excited I am to see how this turns out. Thank you all for reading!

I did a lot of thinking this morning about what I wanted to do regarding the contest that Sammy is in. I really wanted to give up and just be happy with what we've accomplished so far, but at the same time, why should I just drop something that I have a shot at achieving? If it wasn't meant to be, then we wouldn't have gotten this far already. I really want to make copies of a poster with his picture on it, his website, and the days that votes are needed the most and take them to local pet places around here. I don't know how much it'll help since almost all of the other finalists have their dogs in the news and saying that all of their money is going to shelters.. but at the same time, I don't even HAVE my dog with me, and I think that as long as we can get my story out there, I'll have a decent shot. Winning even five thousand dollars would be so helpful in getting him here with me and finding a dog-friendly apartment nearby. As soon as I figure out what date the voting starts back up again, I'll make another update.

I can't do any of this without the help and support of everyone that has helped me thus far, which is why I'm reaching out to all of you again. Sammy means the world to me and I can't begin to explain how I'd feel to have him with me. Thank you all again for helping so much. It really means a lot to me.

Hey everyone!! First off, I wanted to thank you all for your support and kindness. There's no way I would've gotten this far without you guys!

As most of you already know, I submitted a picture of my dog into a contest yesterday, not really expecting anything from it. Well just after one day, he has nearly 900 votes! The reason I'm doing all of this is so that I can have him with me. I moved to PA with my girlfriend two months ago and it's been hard not being able to see him. My mom tells me that he sits outside my door in the hallway and he hasn't been letting anyone pick him up. :[ Hearing that alone is enough to break my heart, which is why I have so much determination and eagarness to get him here. The thing is, it's not that simple; there's the extra cost of rent, the cost to get him here, and the cost to take care of him. This is why I'm hoping with this extra money, getting him here with me wouldn't as much of a hassle. I'm reaching out to all of you to open your hearts and try to be understanding of the situation. It only takes a few seconds each day to place a vote, and each vote counts! Bookmark the page, post about it on your journal or public website, just anything to help this be known.
